Trellex Gasket

The tapered Trellex Gasket is designed for use with TrellexHoses and Bends. Together with the Trellex Coupling, this gasketwill give leak-proof, full bore joints.The Trellex tapered gasket is reinforced with a steel insert,which makes it stiff and allows it to be pushed inside the hose,guided by the same inside bore that you want to match.To complete one full joint between two hoses, two couplingsand two gaskets are required.When tightened against the connecting fl ange, the insidetube of the hose will be pressed up against the outside slopeof the gasket. The slurry itself will quickly wear the inside ofthe gasket fl ush with the hose, leaving a full-bore transition,free of turbulence.It is the inner diameter of the hose that will correctly positionthe gasket in the centre of the bore.The taper of the gasket will further compensate for the unevennessin the end of a hose when it is cut to exact lengthonsite.The ends of the hose do not have to be ground fl at as whenworking with ordinary, fl at rubber gaskets.The fl uting of the front of the gasket will eliminate any leakage.Trellex Gasket� Steel reinforced, to be able to receive the same insidebore as the hose when pushed in to the hose.� Full-bore transition, free of turbulence.� Thick, smooth-walled wear tubes providing lowresistance to fl ow and long service life.� The taper compensates for any unevenness at thehose ends.� Fluting pattern at the front eliminates leakage.
