Ultrasonic cleaning machines are able to apply high frequency sound energy to liquid at levels which can create 'cavitation' in that liquid. The sound waves (which are made up of moving high & low pressure zones) causes millions of microscopic bubbles to form and implode, according to the power and the frequency of the ultrasonic energy.
