Quality Inspection
With proven expertise in nearly every consumer product category, UL's comprehensive quality inspections provide a vital check from top of production through loading. From factory to shelf, we help ensure that products and packaging meet our customers' quality specifications. Definition UL’s experienced professionals conduct cost-effective, on-site inspections of consumer products, including packaging and labeling, to help companies provide quality-consistent products that conform to agreed-upon standards and specifications. Benefits With experienced technical staff in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, UL can design and implement a global inspection program to meet your quality assurance needs to help eliminate many of the uncertainties associated with global sourcing. Top of Production (TOP) Inspections Product inspections at the start of production aim to help eliminate quality issues as early as possible, cutting potential costs, problems and delays associated with problems discovered late in the development cycle. In-Line/In-Process/During-Production Inspections (DUPRO) These inspections provide quality checks at critical points in the manufacturing process and are performed after production has started but before the majority of an order is completed. Final Random Inspections (FRI)/Pre-shipment Inspections (PSI) UL’s final random inspections help verify product quality, packaging, product labeling and carton markings before products leave the factory. Loading Inspections Performed during the loading process at a factory, warehouse or port, these inspections help determine that shipment quantity orders and packing requirements are correct and that carton markings are accurate. Production Monitoring This inspection allows UL to work directly with our customers’ manufacturers, placing a local, experienced inspector on-site to monitor the manufacturing process from incoming raw materials to finished product.Visit the UL International (UK) Ltd website for more information on Quality Inspection
