Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Through the UL retail certification program (RCP) and the National Brand Certification Program (NBCP), UL can help determine if a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) registered factory’s quality system and operation meets or exceeds defined current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements. UL’s accredited ISO 22716 certification guides an organization towards continual improvement and high quality, and complements an organization’s commitment to consistency in the cosmetic industry. Safe Quality Food Certification UL is licensed by Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) to certify companies that comply with the documented requirements of the SQF Code. SQF is a vertically integrated and globally recognized GFSI Code intended to promote food safety and quality management system conformance for different sectors of the food chain, from food production on farms to distribution and storage of food products through processing/manufacturing worldwide. UL’s SQF certification helps buyers source products with confidence and encourages a consumer’s positive perception of an organization’s food brand. British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification As an accredited BRC certification body, UL’s third-party supply chain certifications determine the compliance of an organization’s management system for the design, production, packaging and storage of a wide range of consumer products. This includes textile products, wooden products, chemical products, rubber and plastic products, metal products, electrical products, and more.
