Our MD, Brenden Haffner, and His Passion for Racing

03-06-0001

Outside the boardroom, our Managing Director Brenden Haffner has a clear passion for cars. Whether tinkering in the garage, buying and selling performance vehicles, or competing on the racetrack, motorsport plays a big part in his life.

Brenden’s competitive nature shows not only on the track but also in how he drives the business forward. In 2019, he entered a national competition with Ginetta to find their next race driver and won, despite having very limited experience at the time. That victory kicked off a three-year journey in competitive motorsport, first racing the team car and later running his own Ginetta. Over those seasons, he secured multiple podiums and several race wins.

With changes to the Ginetta series, Brenden moved on to a new challenge in 2025, the Porsche Club Championship. He competes in a Porsche Boxster in a tightly contested field of more than 30 cars. In his first race weekend at Silverstone, Brenden was running as high as third before an electrical issue ended his race early. He recovered to finish eighth in Race 2, despite handling issues that weekend.

This championship is known for attracting serious hobby racers and emerging young talent. Brenden continues to refine his setup and performance with each race, bringing the same mindset of preparation, focus, and improvement that he applies in business.

His racing isn’t just about speed; it’s about challenge, learning, and progress. It’s a reminder that the drive to keep improving, take calculated risks, and stay sharp under pressure is something that can carry from the track into leadership, and we see that in how Brenden leads Wickens every day.
