March 2014 Who needs oscars

Home of Aluminium staff had a strong presence at the recent Schools Design and Technology awards ceremony at the Millennium Think Tank in Birmingham. Supported by the Aluminium Federation and the glitterati of Aluminium UK, outstanding examples of aluminium based student innovation were justifiably feted. Home of aluminium staff were also keen to use the event the to spread the word via TV and impromptu interviews were carried out through the day, exploring mechanisms to encourage young people into the manufacturing sectors. We would also thank our friends at Hydro Aluminium for this must see 50 second video designed to excite young people about the sexiness of design…and it works!
