Bespoke mobile waste conveyors

Astec Conveyors were asked to design bespoke mobile modular belt conveyors for handling waste cardboard off cuts from the manufacturing process. Previously the off cuts, up to 2,800mm wide dropped onto mobile trolleys that were then taken to the waste compactor and manually unloaded. The new mobile conveyors are moved a short distance, the power is connected to the drive and the waste stack is conveyed onto an adjacent conveyor that then takes the stack to the compactor with reduced manual handling. The conveyors had to be designed to fit within the existing restricted area under the machine with consideration for ease of movement. The conveyors have a heavy duty modular belt to eliminate tracking issues and are mounted on a mobile support frame.
