On the 1st of April 1990, Rapid Welding & Industrial Supplies Ltd began as a welding distributor working from an industrial unit in Hampshire.

The company was set up by Mr R D Edwards and Mr R P Edwards, and is still privately owned by them.

Rapid Welding is committed to the welding industry and during the last ten years major manufacturers have recognised our commitment and product loyalty. Kemppi is our main franchise and our distribution area includes West Sussex, Hampshire & Dorset.

Rapid currently employs 23 staff all with the same objectives.

From 6 April 1999, Rapid Industrial Gases Ltd was started, distributing cylinder gases and employing a further 3 staff to be fully committed to this new project. It was felt that this was a natural progression and complementary to Rapid Welding & Industrial Supplies Ltd. Rapid Industrial Gases now delivers over 1000 cylinders a month.

In 2006 Rapid IT Services Ltd was started providing IT support, consultancy and development to customers across the entire spectrum of businesses.
