Andel Plastics Ltd has been working within the medical and pharmaceutical industry for many years. We have been instrumental in bringing several medical concepts of products into a moulding proposition by good component design and precision toolmaking. The accuracy of the injection mould and quality of the tool are paramount within the medical industry, particularly with the high volume parts to ensure continuity of supply. We have a clean inspection and packaging area, although not as yet a full clean room. Though this is on the agenda as well as the successful acquirement of the ISO13485 standard. Our design team have worked on some innovative medical devices and component designs, making prototype tooling to prove the designs before full production is entered into. Sometimes the requirement for a total clean room means we can only be involved in the developmental moulding work, so this is something we are keen to change in the future into a full medical moulding ability.
