2015 saw the launch of Andel Plastics' Ltd Class 8 Cleanroom. The cleanroom was part funded by the Business Innovation Programme, supported by ERDF funding. Having been built and kitted out in 6 weeks, the cleanroom has converted and old storage room, into a fully productive unit. Currently Andel are using the Class 8 Cleanroom to put together surgical procedures pack, also moulding some of the single use medical instruments that are going into these packs. However, with more projects on the horizon for assembly and packaging of medical devices the future looks bright.
