FOAM Techniques Ltd, the Wellingborough-based technical foam converter exhibited for the second year running at the recent Northern Manufacturing Show. Held at Event City in Manchester on the 1 and 2 October, the objective - to seek out UFO's “Unidentified Foam Opportunities”. Neil Blythe, Joint Managing Director said that it was interesting to note that each year the exhibitor rate is increasing and this year saw an increase of around 20 per cent of foot traffic onto the Foam Techniques stand. “It’s not all about numbers onto the stand but about the quality of the enquiries being made for the use of a foam solution for acoustic, filtration, sealing or gasketing and even performance packaging applications. The general feel of the two-day event is good and worthwhile and we have booked again in advance for the 2015 show, to be held in October at Event City. “We have seen an excellent cross section of companies covering applications for a wide variety of industries/markets. In addition it was noticeable that we had an increased number of independent designers expressing interest in the potential of foam that is a very versatile material along with the allied materials within our comprehensive range. “The event was, as usual, very well organised by Stephen Thomas, Operations Director of Foam Techniques, who did a fantastic job in putting together a stand that stood out from the crowd. David Proctor, Northern Area Sales Manager was also in support and will be busy in the forthcoming weeks to follow up the serious interest shown in the Foam Techniques product ranges. “Joint Managing Director and Executive Chairman, Vinay Relan was delighted with the response to Foam Techniques’ presence at the show with the focus now on translating the leads generated through to a successful conclusion.
