Athletes' Village

Postbox Solutions worked with the architect and International Construction Company on a 2 year project to supply and install postboxes for the new athletes village complex. The specification included a BS fire safety rating and a high quality finish – the boxes also complied to European Standard EN 13724. The design went through many changes and final adjustments were made just weeks before installation, the boxes were designed to be used initially by all the visiting athletes but have also been installed with a longer term use in mind once the games are over. The boxes feature a unique slow closing flap to aid operation and also reduce noise when mail is posted.
