Northern Design Centre

This fantastic new building is part of a regeneration programme for this area of Newcastle. Northern Design Centre, on the prestigious Gateshead Quayside, is the new home for the North East’s leading creative and design businesses. It offers creative spaces for the region’s hottest designers, incubation units for exciting start ups, studios for established businesses, and bespoke conference and research facilities. And with a dedicated business collaboration network (that forms part of a Knowledge Transfer Network), Design Network North, based on site, Northern Design Centre has emerged as the regional focal point for Newcastle Gateshead’s growing design industry. The project has been awarded £5 million from the European Union’s European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness Programme 2007-13. The ERDF programme is bringing over £300 million into the North East to support innovation, enterprise and business support across the region. Northern Design Centre is a Business Premises product as part of the Solutions for Business portfolio. We worked with the architect to provide mailboxes for incoming and outgoing mail for a variety of business types and studios, the postboxes were supplied in a striking RAL colour: 5018 (Turquoise Blue) and each box was individually engraved.
