CM provides wide film folder to South American customer

CM Machinery has recently supplied an in line A-frame folder station to a South American producer of wide PE agricultural film. The equipment is for installation into an existing extrusion line at the customer’s premises in Argentina, which manufactures 16.0m wide film. The folder station locates on the return web path of the gusseted film and brings the film to its final roll width of 2.0m prior to it being wound up. It comprises of the A-frame folder board and driven web feed rollers. It also includes web turner rollers. This allows the plane of the web to be maintained through the folder which is important to allow the unit to fit in with the layout of the existing line. The customised design of the station has been developed by CM Engineers to suit the exact requirements of the application, and the machinery has been manufactured in the Company’s premises in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. CM Engineers are also involved in the commissioning of the equipment at the customer’s premises.
