Service call to Ontario

04-04-2015

In April this year (2014) our service team responded to our client's call for assistance to service/repair a not so new CM Stretch Sleeve machine as well as train/retrain operators assigned to the machine. Our most experienced service engineer, well used to travel and meeting whatever challenges are before him, headed off to Ontario, Canada after a phone call with our client's maintenance engineer. Despite the sleever being in full service for twelve years it is still in great shape and any issues with the machine was remedied with the adjustment and resetting of photocells for colour recognition sensitivity, adjusting the registration values to enable better perforations that had not been perfect when running larger product. One bottom nip roller needed replacing as some wear was detected in the middle of the roller and as good fortune would have it, the client had one in his spares store and it was efficiently fitted and production brought back up to speed. Training was given to new and current operators. With the experience of CM Engineer they were able to grasp the correct procedures for start-up, adjust the settings when necessary and have a better understanding on the workings and procedures of the machine. Engineer is home safe and sound and with a client shopping list for some spares he would like to have in stock and with a satisfied client with the service received from CM Machinery.
